  1. Medical and Dental Insurance
    The Company offers medical and dental coverage to all employees who work at least 30 hours per week.
    Employees become eligible for medical and dental insurance 30 days from their date of hire.

  2. Flexible Benefits Plan
    The Company has established a Flexible Benefits Plan for employees which helps to reduce the employee's contribution towards his/her health insurance premium. The "Flex Plan" also helps pay for dependent care expenses.

    The Flex Plan works through pre-tax payroll deductions which reduce the amount of wages subject to federal, state and FICA taxes, subsequently leaving employees with more net income.

  3. Life/AD&D Insurance
    Life and AD&D insurance is provided to employees who work at least 30 hours per week. The employee is covered for 1 times his/her salary.

    The Company pays the full cost of this insurance. Coverage is effective after three months of employment.

  4. Short-Term Disability Insurance
    Employees who work at least 30 hours per week receive short-term disability insurance which replaces 70% of their wages once a seven day waiting period is satisfied.

    The Company pays the full cost of this insurance.
    Coverage is effective after three months of employment.

  5. Long-Term Disability Insurance
    Employees who work at least 30 hours per week receive long-term disability insurance which replaces 60% of their wages once a 90 day waiting period is satisfied.

    The Company pays the full cost of this insurance. Coverage is effective after three months of employment.

  6. 401(k) Plan
    Regular full-time and part-time employees may elect to contribute from 1% to 15% of their salary to the Company's 401(k) Plan with Fidelity Investments. The Company will match 50% of the employee's contribution (to a maximum of 4% of the employee's compensation). Payroll deductions are made on a pre-tax basis.

    Employees may become participants in the 401(k) Plan on the January 1, April 1, July 1 or October 1 following six months of service and attainment of age 21. Employees are immediately 100% vested in both their own and the Company Matching contribution.

  7. Vacation Time
    Vacation is earned based on an employee's hire date and years of service.

  8. Sick/Personal Time
    Full-time employees receive 5 sick days and 2 personal days per year.

  9. Holidays
    The Company offers 8 paid holidays per year.

  10. Credit Union
    All employees are eligible to join the Credit Union. Automatic payroll deductions are available.

  11. Direct Deposit
    Standard offers direct payroll deposit.

  12. Tuition Reimbursement
    Regular full-time employees are eligible to participate in Standard's tuition reimbursement program once they have completed at least six (6) consecutive months of employment. Reimbursement is limited to job-related courses.

  13. MetLife Group Insurance Program
    This voluntary program offers employees auto, homeowners, and assorted other insurance coverages through METPAY at special group rates.

  14. Mass Buying Power
    Standard Electric is a member of this discount referral service. Employees can obtain discounts on major consumer purchases.

  15. Vision Discount Plan
    Employees are eligible for discounts on eyewear at selected retail outlets.
