What's New at Wiremold

Cable Tray Fitting Supports High Performance Cable
Wiremold recently introduced FiberReady fittings for its line of SpecMate
center-spine cable tray. These vertical pivot connectors attach to the rungs of the tray and provide a two-inch bend radius to protect fiber optic and high-performance UTP cabling.

Wiremold has developed a family of FiberReady fittings for its wire and cable management systems that maintain a two-inch cable bend radius. These fittings meet the bend radius specifications for the broadest range of optical fiber, as well as twisted pair and coaxial cabling that is commonly installed in horizontal distribution.

One-Piece Faceplate is Ready to Install
Another recent introduction is Wiremold's new self-contained communications faceplate that requires no assembly or additional mounting hardware. The unique design of the WallReady faceplate speeds installation. This faceplate, which requires no metal frame or fastening
bracket, mounts directly into drywall or paneling, and adjusts to wall thicknesses
from 1/8 in. to 1 in.

The fastening mechanism is similar to a toggle bolt. When the integral screws are tightened, the fastening brackets are drawn tight to the wall, securing the device in place.

The new WallReady faceplate is part of the Activate Connectivity System. It accepts a wide variety of communications inserts that snap in from the front, further reducing installation time.

The Activate Connectivity System includes activation inserts for Category 5E UTP, coaxial audio and video, and fiber optic cabling. A single-gang WallReady faceplate can be configured for up to six ports, providing true multimedia capability at the point of use. Station identification labels and windows are included, as are color-matched screw covers.

Small Divided Raceway System
This two-compartment system is for applications where a limited number
of power and telecommunication cables are required in the same raceway. This divided raceway is ideal for providing power and data/communications to individual workstations.

The 2400BD Series raceway is designed for use with unique "over the raceway" boxes. These boxes eliminate much of the measuring and cutting associated with raceway installation. Moves and changes are easier, too, since the base does not have to be cut to accommodate the box in its new position.

The Interlink Activate Connectivity System
This comprehensive series of activation inserts, faceplates, and mounting bezels are designed for total integration with all Wiremold wire management platforms. This system provides the most flexible, aesthetically pleasing way to connect communications cabling at the point of use.

The Activate Connectivity System offers a wide range of inserts for unshielded and shielded twisted pair, fiber optic, and coaxial audio and video cabling. All Category 5E modules verified by UL exceed requirements under TIA/EIA 568A-5 standards are capable of supporting gigabit network speeds. Their modular design ensures that Activate components are fully compatible with Wiremold single- and multi-channel metallic and nonmetallic surface raceways, Tele-Power Poles, and Walker underfloor duct, poke-thru devices, and access floor boxes.

Snap-in Activate modules are easily installed and can accommodate up to six RJ45 jacks or other types of media connection in a single-gang outlet opening. When used with trim plates that provide multiple outlet openings, up to 24 connections can be made at a single location.

Interlink Cabling System
Interlink Technologies, a division of Wiremold, has developed true
end-to-end cabling solutions. From patch panels in the telecommunications closet to connectivity devices at the workstation, Interlink Technologies meets demanding applications with flexibility, performance, aesthetics, and now a 15 year limited warranty on materials and labor.
