Standard Electric's Tech 2001 was a "Big Deal"

"The Big Deal II", Standard Electric's Tech 2001 Trade Show and Casino Funfest was a tremendous success and enjoyed by all that attended. A one-day event on September 21 at the Westin Hotel in Waltham drew attendees from all over New England. Guests were able to participate in workshops and visit the booths of 48 leading electrical and telecommunication manufacturers.

The show was humming all day as exhibitors demonstrated their latest products and technologies at "The Big Deal II". Everyone enjoyed the festive atmosphere where people took their chances at the gaming tables to win great prizes. Food and beverages were served throughout the day with cocktails and dinner hors d'oeuveres served in the late afternoon. Steve Grogan, a former star quarterback for the New England Patriots, signed autographs and mingled with the crowd. Many individuals listened and watched the Upton Bell WMEX Radio Show live adding a whole dimension of fun to the show. A few daring souls sat with Upton Bell and were heard over the airwaves throughout New England.
