Last fall, Standard Electric transformed the Westin Hotel into its own version of a Las Vegas casino for "THE BIG DEAL Casino Funfest and Tech 2000 Trade Show." And, as anyone who attended can tell you, it was certainly a Big Deal!

This year, plans are underway for "The Big Deal II," a trade show extravaganza destined to eclipse last year's event where over 30 manufacturers showcased their latest technology and new products.

"We're expecting over 40 vendors to participate this year," said Kurt Schaefer, Standard Electric's Director of Marketing, "Plus, we've added one third more floor space, more games, more prizes, a full day of workshops, and a couple of twists that I can't tell you about just yet."

In addition to being a trade show, the Big Deal II will also be a "Casino Funfest," offering visitors the chance to try their luck at blackjack tables, roulette tables and money wheels throughout the day. Lucky winners can cash in their chips for great prizes.

As they did last year during the one-day event, Standard Electric will host a variety of workshops that focus on a number of electrical industry topics, including voice and data communications, and the impact of new products and technologies.
