Product Training Series Puts Warehouse Personnel at the Cutting Edge of Our Industry.

Never underestimate the power of knowledge. It can increase job performance, open doors to opportunity, transform tedious chores into thoughtful endeavors and, most importantly, it can increase productivity and value for your customers. There is much more we could add, but you're probably already starting to understand why we've initiated a training series program for our Wilmington Distribution Center.

These sessions are designed to give warehouse personnel a much broader understanding of our business and the industries we serve. Presented monthly in one-hour training sessions and taught by our experts, these sessions give our employees the expertise needed to answer our customers' most complex questions and keep them up-to-date on the latest technologies.

The first module, presented by Standard Electric's Mike Perkins and Rick Regan, covered the basics of a typical electrical service from the outside transformer to a household receptacle, and showed how the different products involved related to each other.

Because of the success of this first seminar, similar programs will be instituted at all Standard Electric locations. Many future sessions will also be conducted by experts and will focus on specific product applications, packaging identification and handling tips. These industry experts actively supporting the sessions include B.N. Yanow, Osram Sylvania, General Electric and Leviton.
