Tech 2000 was a BIG DEAL for Standard Electric

For one day last Fall, the Westin Hotel in Waltham, Massachusetts was transformed into a casino, a trade show and much more. On that day, Standard Electric hosted their Tech 2000 trade show - billed as the "Big Deal".

Standard Electric's largest trade show ever, the Big Deal attracted over 30 manufacturers, who showcased the latest technology and new products for the next millennium. In addition to being a trade show, the Big Deal was also a "Casino Funfest," offering visitors a chance to try their luck at the blackjack table, roulette table and money wheel. Throughout the day, visitors were also treated to a variety of meals and refreshments.

"Judging by the crowds in attendance, our customers, manufacturers and employees were learning a lot while having a great time," said Kurt Schaefer, Director of Marketing for Standard Electric. "The 33 manufacturers' booths, seminars, food, games and prizes made this an experience that won't soon be forgotten."

During the one-day event, Standard Electric hosted seminars to inform visitors of new technology and changes that can affect their businesses in the coming years. Seminars included "Managing Energy in the New Millennium," "Deregulation," "Integrated Lighting Controls and Design," "Technology for Tomorrow" and "Energy Conservation & Disposal."

By day's end, everyone in attendance had taken full advantage of the new information, fun and refreshments - and made Tech 2000 a huge success. Everyone is looking forward to Standard Electric's Tech 2001. Tech 2001 will take place at the Westin Hotel on September 21, 2000 - mark your calendars today!
